Thai Iced Milk Tea

Serves 1

3 Tbsp Thai tea
250ml-300ml boiling water
1 1/2 tbsp condensed milk
2 tsp sugar
A pinch of salt
Ice
Evaporated milk

1. Boil water. Add Thai tea in a cloth filter and put it in a cup. Pour the boiling water over the cloth filter and steep the tea for 3 to 5 minutes.

2. In another cup add the condensed milk, sugar, salt and pour in the tea. Mix very well. Allow it to cool to room temperature.

3. Add a lot of ice in a glass and pour in the tea. Drizzle the top with evaporated milk. It will create a nice effect.

Notes:

Steep the tea with a cloth filter. It will prevent those tiny pieces of tea leaves to go inside the cup.

Before pouring the tea in a glass or cup full of ice, let it cool to room temperature, so the ice doesn’t melt right away.

You can use any brand of Thai tea to make this drink.  The picture above is the most popular Thai tea brand in Thailand, and the one I always use.
