Homemade Condensed Milk
Homemade condensed milk that is better than store bought. Amazing rich and smooth texture. Only takes 20 minutes to make, and you only need 3 ingredients.
500ml whole milk
A pinch of baking soda
1. Mix the milk and sugar in a pan. Bring to a boil over medium high heat and then reduce to medium heat.
2. Cook for 20 minutes or until the milk is reduced by half and slightly thick. Stir constantly with a spatula.
3. Turn the heat off and stir in a pinch of baking soda. The condensed milk will thicken up as it cools.
4. Once cooled, stir well and transfer to a sealed container. Use immediately or store in the refrigerator.
